The clarinet is a very good value, The only issue I had was the silver keys were tarnished and and the Bb key was sticking when using the left hand. I was able to spray very little lub onto the part and was able to get it to work clean and it works very well now. All in all it was a very good buy

I am picking up clarinet again after a long time of not playing. I wanted more than a beginner clarinet and thought this one was worth trying. This worked great for the first several months. Some of the edges inside were rough, but overall it was just what I was looking for. Then one of the fine, small wires came off, rendering it unplayable. Now I need to see if anyone in my area will repair it. From what the other reviews say, I am not overly optimistic. Buy the protection plan. Or invest more money in a different clarinet.

Wow this blows very nice. Right out of the box, no leaks, no stuck keys. The stand didn't work. I called and K&K music jumped through hoops getting me a new one. VERY satisfied.

It is a great clarinet! Wood sounds a lot better than plastic. You need a tuner to play it properly because how you put your mouth on and how hard you bite the mouth piece will change the pitch of the clarinet. Unforchantly every clarinet is a little different so you need a tuner to help you play that specific clarinet correctly, or any clarinet correctly. BIG TIP: Use the Tuner to learn how to bite the clarinet mouth piece correctly. small tip: Buy different types of strength reeds to learn what reed strength you are most comfortable with.

It does take more air to play it as it is a larger bore than a beginner. It has a really nice, rich and deep tone.
