Not a drop in fit......but they are a solid design and well made.... However, the base plate is oversized and you will have to hand file to fit the gun for proper lockup of the magazine. Do NOT alter the firearm, do not file the mag catch. Take a rough metal file and take some material off the top and sides of the base plate to get a proper fit....file test file test etc. Once done take a green scrubby pad and make your file work look nice but 'polishing' the areas of work.

Mec-Gar is an oem magazine supplier to many firearm manufacturers, so their quality in material and workmanship is without question. Because this magazine was created to work across the 3 generations of S&W 59xx series pistols, there is bound to be some slight "tweaking" needed due the differences in tolerances and specs bound to occur over a 40+ year period. I needed to file the mag catch cutout slightly for the mag to lock. Feeds fine... no issues at all.

Bought this for my kel tec sub 2000 9mm and it fits perfectly. Thats the good thing about the kel tec is so many different types of mags work for it, and the S&W 5900 mag is one of them.

Light, durable construction and fits weapon perfectly. Not quite as seamless as the ones that came with the weapon at purchase, but the material is durable and appears to be very rust resistant. I fired about 100 rounds or so out of the two magazines that I bought and haven’t experienced a single jam or misfire.
