This is one of the finest rigging and nautical knives I have seen since my Father's version, much older, and old school. His, I keep in a safe place. This one will get used, a lot. Handy for splicing twisted rope, braiding para-cord, and all around rope work. Worth buying two for having a back-up! Every tool on it has a purpose, and can do a fine job on many tasks, it will even open canned food, an essential in an emergency, it will open bottles, and cut nicely with the blade. I can't say enough good things about this tool. A must for any yachtsman or boater, or homeowner.

It's true you get what you pay for. That said, this knife is a great example. It's a good item and works well- which is the point of owning it. But I had to file down and round out all the metal edges since they were sharp from manufacturing. It seems like a rush job to make these so quality control is minimized. I could be wrong. Removing the bur helped though. There's a little side to side play when features are open. Knife blade is sharp! Overall not a bad knife once I put the needed "finishing" touches on it to make it usable without cutting my hand. It's lightweight. It's a very handy tool. A good value at less than ten dollars.

Although the knife/tool is very inexpensive and probably made in Asia somewhere, it works very well! I race my sail boat regularly and hand out these inexpensive knives to the crew. The blade is sharp and easily resharpened, the shackle key is a bit big but works on most shackles and the marlin spike is great for loosening weather worn knots etc. I am not sure why the can opener was included. There are a lot of similar tools available but they cost a whole lot more and don't work much better. Given the fact that an active day sailing always brings the risk of losing the knife over the side you can not beat the cost effectiveness of this product

It is solid and well made. it is small and edges of handle are sharp a rough. A little file work and it's fit for my belt loop just fine.

This sturdy knife is surprisingly well made for the price imo. I'm pretty sure this is one of those rare items that won't reflect the "cheapskates spend the most" phrase. And I say this as a decades long owner/user of both German and US made knife brands.
