The high frequencies are good but seem to bump up near 3khz possibly from the aluminum tweeter. Don’t get me wrong, the sound is fantasic however, it is not as flat as I was expecting. I had to use a digital EQ to antenuate certain high frequecies in order to tame it. In Listening auditions, this speaker seems to work best with a single ended tube amplifire or strangely enough a low harmonic distortion Class AB. However, using mosfet drive or pure class A seem to exagerate the highs a bit more that comfortable. Again, these speakers played on the average sound system is good.

The Martin Logan Motion SLM speakers have pros and cons. Pros: Fantastic reproduction of guitars and great for vocals and voices and listening to human dialog of TV/movies/videos. Cons: Lacks bass and warmth, yet that can be solved by pairing these speakers with warmer traditional ''box'' (not slimline) speakers. In terms of value: That depends on whether you want these speakers ONLY for TV or for listening to music. Since I wanted to use these speakers to listen to both TV and music (depending on the time of day), these speakers weren't a good $ value for me.

Looks sleek on both sides of my wall-mounted TV. Rich and clear sound. Will combine with a sub to make it perfect.

I needed very thin speakers, small active subwoofers, minimal but quality integrated amp, full keyboard, and synth module to fit in a very tight place. Everything worked out nicely. I could not be happier for my investment.

EXCELLENT highs and midrange. Taking up no space in my living room by hanging on the wall.
