This neck was used to build my first project bass. Great for learning but there is a reason these necks weren’t used (or at least mine)... the frets aren’t even in several spots. When I setup the bass I found some uneven fretting (buzz) and sure enough when I looked down the neck you could see a couple of trouble spots for buzz. That said, for the price... worth the money spent getting practice adjusting truss rods (which is a very tight fit), drilling the neck (maple(???) is the softest I’ve ever seen), as well as bridge & nut adjustment. If I’d done this sooner, I would have lost my fear of adjusting truss rods, etc.

this neck hasn't been strung up with any tension on it YET! , but hopefully the truss rod inside is as good quality as the rest of the neck. the neck is made extremely well with nicely done fret work. for $40 it is WELL WORTH the price from outward unstrung appearance alone !!. it probably had to have been made in some asian country but lacks the traditional sticker that says 'made in'...if the strung up neck twists or immediately becomes a permanent archery piece, it will work well as an oar. or perhaps some kind of art piece... an EXQUISITE copy were i unable to see, i would think it a fender neck !! NOTE: truss rod UNADJUSTABLE ! don't buy !

Fit my jazz with minimal corner sanding on heel. Truss is perfect without adjustment. Even frets on both sides and fretboard. Nut on the neck was perfectly slotted. I'm pleasantly surprised for a great price.

I swapped out a P-bass neck for the J-Bass one offered here as the truss rod was jammed and the neck was warped. I needed to clean up the neck pocket and add new tuners but that was expected. As with all new necks, it will need some burn in but that's almost always the case with a new neck and string tension. The fret work is clean, the nut is decent and playable beyond expectations and I love the neck profile compared to a P-bass. Some may complain about the vintage tint finish but I sure can't. I had this on and set up in 50 minutes and it plays like a dream. Fantastic value and it got to my home in a few days.
