It's what you'd expect from a bus full of free spirited pilgrims on an acid trip. I bought the movie after researching the lyrics of Steely Dan's Kid Charlemagne song. The bus in this movie was supposedly the one referred to in the song as the "techni-colored motorhome". The movie is a good and real depiction of the hippy movement of the 60's. As a conservative, retired police officer I don't relate to the life style, but I enjoy learning about other life styles and this is a glimpse inside the LSD laced mind and thoughts under that influence. It's a shame this historic bus is rotting away in a field...

Mostly voice overs and cut up footage, like someone narrating while they show you clips from their home movies. I don't know what they had to work with from a footage/quality standpoint, but the narration really diminished the film for me. You do get to see some footage of the pranksters, Neal Cassady and a drunk Jack Kerouac. It's worth watching if you are interested in the Beat Generation and the Kesey/Wolf bridge to Hippies.
