Magic Tree House books are simply amazing! I introduced this small chapter book series (10 chapters per book) with my six years old son when he was five, hoping he would be able to sick with them, as they only have a few pictures per book. We have been slowly getting through this series along side 2 others (The Secret of Droon & Beast Quest) Every book of The Magic Tree House series is wonderful, although the books are better if read in order. And this series is also part of the AR (accelerated Reader program) that schools have. If you child is at that level of taking AR tests and about 2-4 grade these books are perfect!
If your children love Magic Treehouse books, then they are sure to love the Merlin Missions--which are just an extension of the first 28 books. The Merlin Missions have Teddy and Kathleen(Merlin's assisstants) to help Jack and Annie. We love trying to figure out what they are disguised as througout the story. This book has a great adventure in store for Jack and Annie as well as some surprises. It has some fantasy/science fiction themes in this book. I was a little worried about it being to "on the edge of your seat" for my 8 year old, but he loved it!
This is great book for kids. We have just about the whole set. We sit down as a family and read these books. It also teaches the kids to remember the clues in each one to solve the riddle. I would highly recommend these books to anyone. I like to read them myself.
I LOVE this book. I bought the whole Magic Tree House book set. I also have read the whole set. This book is one of Merlin's adventures. It is very well written and you learn alot! You will love this book too!!
These are great chapter books for the beginning reader. My daughter was exposed to them in school and has really enjoyed them at home as well. Educational and imaginative. Great series for the young readers.
