Does everything you need it to do and more...much more. Turns your music room into a music studio. So many functions,so versatile hours upon hours of jamming and you can never be bored or tired of the loops, and soundtracks this amp contains. Record your own jams layer them, just so many options can't begin to list them. A must have if you play guitar at home, but can be used as a gig amp as well. Try one at a music store and I promise you you will want to purchase one just as I did when I was fooling around with one at a Guitar Center. I was VERY LUCKY to buy one for $199.00 "free shipping" BRAND NEW on eBay. These amps STILL go for $399.00 almost everywhere.

Even at full retail price, the Spider Jam is a great deal and has more than any electric guitar player could hope for in a single piece especially when combined with the pedal for stomp box actuation of midsong changes. A solid array of options to program each of four channels each controlled by it's own pedal, a looper and tracks pre-recorded to play along to make this amp a much fuller experience for the bedroom jammer.

I was looking for something that would allow me to practice the guitar without hooking up a bunch of equipment to my computer to emulate an amp. I also wanted something that would provide rythmn (background drums, guitar, bass). The spider IV series has the amp modeling but didn't have the background music, then I saw the spider jam, and that fit the bill. 400.00 new seems a bit steep so I started watching ebay, and I noticed that they didn't last long and usually went for about 400.00 used. So when I saw that no one was bidding on a listing @ 275.00 I was quite surprised when I got it for that price. The unit was spotless and actually shipped to me in the original box. I've really enjoyed trying out all of the various settings. I haven't tried it yet but it's equipped with a sd card that lets you record your own music and play it through the amp. It's also got mp3 input capability. All in all, I'm very satisfied with the ampRead full review
This amplifier is great for home personal practice and playing your guitar. It sounds great in all modes. It does have some limitations. But for the money, you can't beat it. I bought this item so I could have a simple but decent sounding apmplifier for practice. It has met all my expectations. This amplifier has my highest recommendations
I was really bummed out when I needed multiple surgeries to treat carpal tunnel syndrome. After my wrists healed I would jam along with the many excellent tracks and regained the use of my hands. I have now returned to being able to gig several times a week. It's fun to set this amp up as a separate source for a backing track and play leads along through a small tube amp. I've also used it on acoustic/electric gigs. It has an XLR input for a mic and sounds great as a small PA.
