While the copy follows the timeline in good detail of this, the bloodiest day in American military history, the production is more "Civil War Journal/Combat" like than anything in the league of PBS/Ken Burns type historical documentries. Way too many scenes of overweight middle aged re-enactors (bless them all) playing soldier than the dignity of the subject would seem to deserve. But all in all it does tell the tale with a respectable degree of accuracy.
I'm a reenactor, I sometimes portray Clara Barton...I wanted to know more about the battle, little stories that I've not heard before...Thanks! Suggestion, maybe show a battle map, showing, with arrows, the battle movements for the day BUT OVERALL IT WAS VERY GOOD!
A different view of the battle that I have never heard before. Should be required viewing for all Civil War Buffs. Very enjoyable, well done, and accurate accounting of events.
