This is one awesome DVD! You do 4 Intervals (after a faster pace warm up) consisting of 3 mins fast walking and 2 mins of jogging. There is some one modifying all the high impact moves so don't worry if you can't do them right away! This DVD is 32 mins in length and flys by! I love this DVD! It helped my blast through a weight loss plateau that lasted for months! This is one of the many interval DVDs I own from Leslie! I would reccommend this highly! The only thing that makes ia 4 star vs 5 is the set and filming. The Film seems almost foggy at times and the set is a little dark (evening-type setting); it is relaxing though. So as long as your not one that has to have a bright set or perfect film resolution, then this will definately do!
Leslie has helped me exercise for about 20 years, and she maintains the best videos for people who really can't do high impact. Her instructions are concise, and she never makes you feel like a failure if you can't keep up, because she always gives modification instructions. This does include some high impact because it's jogging, but again, you can modify. It is one of her most intense workouts. It makes you feel invigorated and accomplished. I own most of her tapes/dvd's so I thought I would give this a go. She's the best!
Time flies when you are doing this workout and Leslie's chatty, low key style is very appealing. This is a great 30 minute workout that has good oral directions and is easy to follow. Leslie never pressures you to do anything you are not ready for and there is always an alternative move so if you don't feel you can jog, etc. you will still get a good workout. I own quite a few workout tapes (including several of Leslie's walking tapes) and this is now my new favorite and buying it on Ebay at a fraction of the store bought cost makes it all the better. My next workout purchase will be Leslie's 1 Mile Jog for an even more challenging workout. I highly recommend this tape for beginners as well as intermediate exercisers. :)
I like Leslie's DVDs a lot so I wasn't disappointed by this one. I needed something to take me to a higher fitness level and I thought this would be the DVD for me but it doesn't meet the expectations I had. It is her basic walking moves with intervals of jogging in place but really you do more kicking in place than jogging. I was hoping this DVD would prepare me to be able to go outside and jog but if that's what you're looking for, this won't do that. However, it is still a good 30 minutes of cardio so if that's enough for you, any Leslie Sansone workout is good.
I've only known about Leslie Sansone for 3 years, and she is wonderful!! As always, this workout is easy to follow, and fun to do! For me, the intensity level is great! She definately gives a good workout and makes you sweat! It's a warm-up, then 3 minute intervals of brisk walking followed by 2 minute intervals of light jogging. Of course there's kicks, knee lifts, and side to side movements included as well. I highly recommend this workout. It's the 30 minutes a day that's needed for a healthy body.
