I'm trying to teach myself to play electric guitar. Not like Jimmy Paige, but maybe a few of his easier songs :D I'd played around with my roommates acoustic in grad school 15 years ago, and recently decided it was time to pick up a guitar of my own. Rather than bother myself with lessons or a course, I just made a list of songs I'd like to learn. Being a huge Led Zeppelin fan, there were a number of Zep songs on my list. This Tab book had all of those songs, and it was a good price on HALF.COM, so I grabbed it. I probably could have found free online tabs and printed them out, but for the cost of the ink and paper, not to mention my time in finding and organizing them, this was a far better solution. Plus I got a bunch of other songs that I wouldn't otherwise have had. Surprisingly, some of the stuff in this book is almost easy enough for me to play (r - e - a - l s - l - o - w). Of course, most is pretty difficult for a beginner, but it does sound like the songs I want to play when I can eventually put the notes in order. Bottom line - if you want to learn to play Led Zeppelin songs, this is a good place to start. Then I guess its just just practice, practice practice.Read full review

I purchased this as a Christmas present for my boyfriend. I haven't yet given it to him, but I think he'll like it. It's a great collection of songs.
