I use it to draw hot air out of my 1901 apt that only has a window ac in one room, and it is awesome.. But I also love that I can turn the easy access front dial control to blow cool air into my apt in the morn. It is a bit noisy as it has big fan blades and is powerful. But it is in the rear of my kitchen and draws hot back porch and fridge air out...so it is no bother to me. I LOVE it!

I really liked everything about this fan. Lightweight, Easy to use, moves a lot of air. One night I had the storm window down behind it because it was very hot and we had the window air conditioners running. It cooled off in the middle of the night and my daughter turned off the air-conditioning and turned on thr fan not knowing the storm window was down. When I woke up the fan was no longer functioning. It never made a noise, it never smelled hot. After 10 weeks of use it is ruined. You would think a fan that costs more than 100.00$ could have an auto-matic shut-off if the motor gets stressed. And a reset button, kind of like hair-dryers .

a great fan that helps with moving air in and out of the home. I have it paired with one on the south side, this one is on the north. Helps reduce or eliminate the need for air conditioning.

I wish there was some maintenance that could be done, like spots to lubricate the motor. This is my 4th version of this fan, as they rarely last more than two summers. It is the perfect size for my window, so I continue to purchase it, even though I wish it would last longer.

I've read other reviews. It works well, now, but I'm concerned about long term reliability. There seem to be too many reviews complaining about the fan failing after a year or two.
