Cool little phone. As far as camera phones (non smartphones) go, this phone is great. While it was difficult to find a way to use custom ringtones, the phone's features outweigh its disabilities as a simple phone. Fast and efficient, it gets the job done. Nice looking home screen, easy navigation and quick and decent camera. Side buttons are highly helpful. Only downfall is the keyboard itself. The tiny letters can be tough to use...especially when attempting to be a speed texter; however it doesn't hinder it to the point of actually being a deal breaker. The front touch screen makes the ease of optimization far beyond that of phones that require being opened to interact with. Great phone with plenty of features.
This phone was in great condition and has a great keyboard for texting, if you have smaller thumbs. I really like that you can access your text messages by using the touch screen on the front of the phone. Also, the camera has a large internal memory that can hold almost 240 pictures, as mine only held 23 on its own. I don't like that there is NO back space key on the keyboard, so I have to use the 'back' key that inconveniently placed more at the top. But I think as time goes, I will adapt to it. Otherwise great structure, design, and the keyboard and camera are nice. Overall I am happy with my purchase.
Pros: Good for broswing and watching media online. Touchscreen feature is great. Good when it come to hold a signal. Cons: Battery life is short. Qwerty pad kind small. Video quality could be better. Wish it had more color options. Summary: I've only had my Elite for 2 days, but so far it has performed well. It's really good when it come to browsing the web and watching media online, like Youtube. The buttons are kind of small,so if you have big hands/fingers, you may have a problems with using the qwerty pad. The phone is very light and stylish. The touchscreen feature is AWSOME. The photo quality is good. Video quality... it could of been better. It's also holds a signal really good too. My Elite haven't drop a call in none of the normal areas where my old phone(Samsung M520)did. Even when it didn't have any bars, it never dropped a call. It also makes it easy for to check my emails and social networks. The only thing is the battery life is kinda short. Other than that the Elite is a GOOD PHONE for all of you basic needs. Especially if don't have the money for a SmartPhone.Read full review
I owned the previous lotus for about a year, so i'm basically gonna compare that one to this rather than write a review of this phone. The touchscreen - This is the big change, and to be honest it can be very nice, and very annoying. You can't text on the outside touch screen, but you can read your texts, make a call (with speakerphone on) and look at pictures. It is not a touchscreen like an iphone. It doesn't react nearly as well as an iphone. But it works. The camera- The previous phones camera was not mounted like it is now, now you have to have the phone closed to take a picture of something in front of you. And have it open to take a picture of your face. You have to use the touchscreen to take a picture of something in front of you. I personally like it, just takes some getting used to. Messaging - Fast. Its got a full keyboard and text buttons, a smiley button (which is actually emoticons). I've had very few problems texting on this phone. And thats good cause thats what i bought it for. Call quality - About the same, maybe not as good as the previous lotus. Theres tons of features i could go into like the user interface, menu, home screen but the just of it is i liked the original better. Even though this phone is a good phone. I'd give it a 7/10. Not worth 200 bucks to me though. Get a droid or just the original lotus.Read full review
Don't like this one as well as my Lotus. The touch screen is very limited and sluggish. Battery life seems a little diminished from the original. Most of the same menus and options as the original lotus, and all my apps, games, music etc. purchased while I had my Lotus-loaded them right onto the elite without any questions or problems. My wall charger and car charger also are compatible with this one as well. The hinge seemed really tight when I first received the phone but it seems to be getting a little more sloppy or loose in the past couple weeks. The music app seems to be much improved from my original Lotus. The elite seems to load much faster, the sound is about the same. Don't like the camera setup as well on the elite. The phone has to be closed and the location of the lens is a little hard to get used to. Picture quality is about the same as the original lotus. The keyboard has been upgraded from the original. They are more raised and rounded which makes it better for me and my large thumbs. The original lotus keys seemed to be almost flat. Reception and sound quality seem to be identical.Read full review
