I like this lock. Its definitely all you need to park your bike around campus or school. However, I would not trust it if I lived in a big city or in a busy area. After all, the cable is, like, 1cm in circumference. But it is long, coils up well and can tie your bike to any tree, pole, or bike stand. I do not like the dial mechanism. I does not work very well and wants to get stuck sometime. I has gotten better since I first started using it, though. Maybe, paint the numbers neon green so that one can see more easily at night?

The Kryptonite brand name misled me to purchase what ultimately is a very minimal low quality lock. This is really no better quality or technology than the cheap lock i used on my child's bike in the 70s. Regret having bought it: i can use it for nothing. Immediately binned this fragile (but well branded) lock.

Not as good as my previous cable lock. The code cannot be custom set. Easy to break code. Easy to cut cable with handheld cutters. I only use this to lock my bike when leaving it unattended for only a few minutes. That's about all it's good for.

Get a secure lock, I made a mistake, it can easily be snipped, not secure Joe

I purchased this lock to put in my saddle bag on my road bike. Just incase I needed to go in a store or to lock it up at the park, etc... Its just the right size, I wouldn't use it as a long term lock but just for quick use its fine and lets face it locks only keep honest people honest but it does give me piece of mind during a emergency or for short time usage
