I bought 4 KIngston Modules for my old IBM T43 (2374-M97) Which takes IBM 31P9834/31P9835/34R4967 1GB Modules. The KTM-TP9828/1G is System Specific Memory For IBM Model computers it is Mfgr's System P/N's: 31P9834 (IBM); 31P9835 (IBM). So it should work but only 2 of the 4 I bought worked and they failed in 2 different computers. I couldn't run MEMTEST 86 because the system wouldn't boot with the bad RAM. This has been my typical experience with Kingston RAM in general. I keep getting lured by the low price, but it's always a headache..
