I bought this game because I really like turn-based strategy games of this genera such as Heroes of Might and Magic V (HMM5) and Battle for Wesnoth. Before buying the game, I downloaded the demo and played through the tutorial/training scenario. The battle system is pretty much a rip off of HMM5. Although the battle system has some additional complexity, it's not as fun or user friendly as HMM5. King's Bounty will give you more quests than you can possibly handle. Moreover, one part of an area will have groups of monsters that you can easily defeat, but if you travel a little too far, then impossibly strong groups of monsters will attack and obliterate you. Also, you level up way too slow and there are very little new relics (artifacts) available to help you after the tutorial. Another disappointment is that the king and other creature recruitment venues will run out of available troops really fast, and you can only take a limited number of troops with you at a time to the slaughter in any given area. I wasn't very impressed with this game, and you're better off saving you money for something else.Read full review
Excellent game, not only for homm lovers. Lovely graphics and music. The character advancement technique is nice - forcing you to choose wisely the most suitable upgrades for your character. The battle system is better than homm (better AI) and much more fun. Items and Artifacts have their own will, and you can also upgrade them by fighting their keepers. The quests are a bit silly - but it's ok since you need every XP you can get to gain levels.
I didn't know this series prior to getting this game but really enjoyed it and recommend it

Great game, I didn't think the remake could live up to the memories of the original Kings Bounty from back in the day but It's every bit as entertaining. The only issue is the size makes it run a bit slow on my computer, this can be fixed by adjusting the visual settings. This game is a blast from the past with better graphics, I highly recommend it to any nostalgic KB fan
Good replay value, very addictive, very fun to play! It is very tactically based turn based strategy mixed with a good storyline. Lots of areas to explore and many challenging enemies keeps the game interesting.
