I find it interesting that this particular item was chosen to ask me to review over all my other purchases since the seller of This Item was some kind of Postal MORON and could not even manage to get it to me. However - This is not about that idiot - it's about the ZR240. I have owned a few of these and I Know all about them. 1. I read the other reviews and Noticed people say they get hot fast. The people that say that have NO CLUE what an OHM LOAD IS. These amps are NON FAN ASSISTED and require that you operate them as instructed - These amps are 2Ohm stable in Mono according to the manual But They really like a 4 Ohm load - That is depicted in the manual by Noting that the amp Puts OUT MORE WATTS @ 4 Than It does at 2Ohms Mono. and 2 Ohm per channel operated in stereo ( all Channels driven) 2. This amp is awesome - It will push two dual 2 Ohm CVR's wired to a 4Ohm load In a vented enclosure with No problems - ( I suggest stepping up to a zr360 for a sealed enclosure) Clean accurate Bass all day long. An EEM module is PERFECT for the vented enclosure. 3. this amps Beefy enough to be cool looking for your install yet small enough to be a really great idea where weight is concerned. The power source for this amp can Be upgraded But Really just a slight battery upgrade will do the job as far as every day bump goes. ( meaning if you hook it up correctly @ 4ohm Mono like I said and don't be silly ) Also - use 2 Gauge power and ground If Your going to have the amp 4 feet or further away from the battery. This amp is wicked cool If You know how to set it up correctly - a lot Of reviewers do not know what they are talking about, don't listen to the reviews that are tainted by idiots with no common sense. I didn't ever receive the amp I bought, The seller is some kind of idiot it seems, mailed it to some one else or something. You will get what you paid for. if you can find a used working one for 90 to 150 bucks your doing great. If You can find a reman or new one for 220 to 280 You are also doing well. The amps are worth it. They can last forever if you set them up correctly. KICKER = MORE BOOM FOR YOUR MONEY - Cleaner Output than what you paid for watt for Watt. Under Rated specs means your system will always be better than it look on paper ( Not some Junk paper specs and actual Crap in reality like other companies) You Will never be made fun of by old school rollers becuase your Bumping hand made USA old school amps -Read full review
Hello everyone. I have a question for the man shipshapedeals Im hoping to find out. I just bought a Kicker ZR600 and my question is: Do you feel the same about running the ZR600 at 4 ohms just like you're saying to do with the ZR240? I used to have 2 ZR1000's and I ran each of them on separate Alpine Type R 15in. dual 2 ohm speakers. So I was running them both on a 2 ohm load. Was that not good? They did get hot kinda quick. I was planning on running the ZR600 at a 2 ohm load to a pair of 10 inch Alpine Type R speakers in a sealed box. If that is not the best way and should run the system at a 4 ohm load, can you let me know what you think or anyone that may know. I have not bought the Alpine 10's yet so I still have the choice whether to buy dual 2 ohm or 4 ohm speakers. Thank You Much If Anyone Can Help Me!! ,,,, David.Read full review
to me this is the best series kicker ever made clean class a/b power made in the usa when kicker was proud to bemade in the usa they put out more that what their rated for very poweramps great sound quality in fact for the price these are goin for now i dont think you find a bettersounding amp for the prices these go for theses days 20 yrs old and stillworking good i have the whole zr series and with the exception of linear power you wont find a better amp now they are not the most efficent amp they use alot of current and they are bigger than most amps that put out similar power but thats the bigf heatsink to keep them cool they will run bridged @ 2ohms but get really hot when pushed hard they really like a 4ohm stereo or 4ohm mono load great amps and for the money you cant beat them

The zr 240 is one bad amp. These amps have been out for years and they just keep working. The power and sound clarity is incredible. If your in the market for a new amp look for a Kicker.
