Great EDC Knife. It deploys lightning fast, it's super slim and rides low in the pocket so you don't even notice it being there until you need it. It comes razor sharp, has great blade geometry, and this model has the composite steel, using D2 for the edge for great edge retention, and Sandvik 14C28N on the spine for greater toughness and durability. The pocket clip can be either tip-up or tip-down but always on the right side. There's not really anything I dislike about this knife, but it does have very smooth and slender scales, so it's not a super grippy handle if that's something you look for, and it has a very pointy tip, so be careful not to try to pry anything with it, or you run the risk of snapping it off.

These are some of the best knives you can buy at any price. Well designed, rugged, and easy to carry. I have several of these knives in different colors but this is my first with the composite blade. I am very impressed. You can pay more money but I don't think you will get a better everyday carry knife than this. Buy one if you want a good knife.

I own many Kershaw Leeks and I'd have to say that this is my favorite. I'm a fan of the Sandvik 14c28n that is featured on every Leek. I'm also a fan of D2, so I love the combination of them in this model, with the cutting edge being in the D2. While it's slightly more difficult to sharpen, the D2 is really durable and takes a long lasting, sharp edge. It is so close to actually being stainless itself, the knife has great corrosion resistance. The Blackwash enhances the resistance even more and the black patina looks great. The only con I see in the Composite, is the same that I see in every Leek, with the lock being made of some kind of plastic. I don't use it, so I probably won't break it. Overall you have a good looking, sharp, tough and lightweight EDC here, for a reasonably modest price. Nice carry. J.C.Read full review

A really cool looking and cheaper alternative to getting a full D2 steel blade on the awesome Leek shape. The blackwash looks cool too! Blade did not fully deploy at first but broke in nicely with use. So don't be discouraged if it's deployment is a little sticky out of the box.

If you want the perfect EDC pocket folder go no further....Sure there is millions of choices, and I probably went through half of those. This is the best all around, durable, lightweight folder around. The added benefit of the harder steel in the cutting edge really does make a difference for me, I put some SERIOUS miles on it, the original styles blade was just a tad too soft for me, constant resharpening was a must...The ONLY adjustment I made was to add a deep carry Ti clip which really makes it that much better....
