It was easy to replace. The old one was stuck on. The last screw kept spinning, but it was actually loose. I has to pry it a little to get it off. That was the hardest thing. A new one from Sears was over $80 with shipping. The only thing that showed me that this had been on a vacuum previously was the small amount of dirt/dust around the inside coils.
