We befriended a feral cat and spent several months gaining her trust. With the winter months coming, we were concerned about her comfort and safety. Then we found this heated mat! We had made a kitty condo from a plastic tote box with front & back entry and a cozy bed inside. The addition of this mat made it into just the warm shelter she needed to survive the extreme weather. She loves it and adapted to it quickly. The quality and durability are excellent. I especially like the fact that the cord is wrapped in wire to prevent any chewing from the raccoons that sometimes visit. I would highly recommend this product for anyone who wants to keep their outdoor cat safe and comfortable in cold weather conditions when combined with some type of shelter.

Once the dog and cat figured it out, it was easy sailing. Introducing the dog to it was easy, but one of our fidgety cats wasn't as easy. I think it was because my dog was already trained to get in his dog house, where the cat didn't have a particular place to sleep. But she's using it now. It's a nice thing it only works while it senses the pet's weight, saves energy. My dog was an old timer and made its last days more comfortable, which gave me comfort too. It was one of the many things I did for him knowing we had to part company (he was over fifteen years old).

I have 2 outside (their choice) cats. They each have a nice insulated house that my husband built for them filled with an array of soft rugs but I've been wanting to add an electrically warmed bed for them for a few years. I've read the reviews and finally decided to give it a try. My concern was the comments about it not really feeling very warm. That is true. I plugged it in and held my hand on it for a few minutes and I could feel warmth but its not like a heating pad by any means. I purchased one and put it into one of their houses. I was worried that the metal cord sticking out of the door of the house would put them off but "Rocky" has taken to it and is hogging the heated house. I now need to order a 2nd one for "Speedy". I'm hoping that its warm enough to keep them comfortable. I had been relying on corn bags that we made and heat up on the wood stove. Speedy loves those but they don't stay warm very long. The bed is flexible so you can fold it in half to insert it inside the small opening of a house if you have one. The size of the small one was a perfect fit. The cover is thin but it has to be so that they can feel the warmth. It also has an inflator but I didn't mess with it. The bed seemed fluffy enough out of the box. Read full review

I've been taking care of a stray kitty and was very worried about her this winter so I decided to make this purchase. She loves it and is in heaven and is now a permanent member of the family thanks to this heated bed. I like that the cover can be washed. She shares it with another local stray so it's has served a wonderful purpose this winter.

This heated outdoor cat mat is softer than the previous K&H heated mat I had (which was great, but it finally stopped heating up) My old girl feral is curled up on this one the same a she was the other, harder plastic one. But she's getting older and I think she's more comfortable on this soft 'air' bed. I've read some people think this doesn't get warm enough...I think it definitely does..it warms up under the cat, where it's needed. I'm thinking about buying another one as I have more than one barn cat
