What I like best about the Justrite brand of safety cans is how easy it is how operate the dispensing valve at the handle. I own four Justrite cans In a variety of sizes and spout diameters for various fuels such as ethanol free gas, oil and gas mixed fuel for my chain saw and a yellow can for diesel fuel. They pour easily and quickly especially with the larger diameter flexible spout and do it with no spills. Their valve design is better than the Eagle brand safety cans I have owned in the past and easier to dispense. The plastic gas cans they sell now at big box stores with their spring loaded valve at the tip are a joke and major pain to use unless you remove spout and use a big funnel. A Justrite can is much easier to use, does not require a funnel and will last a lifetime if well cared for. I recommend Justrite safety cans for their design, build quality and value.Read full review

As most diesel engines used in vehicles for outdoor purposes are meant to be rugged, so to is this fuel can. Having features not seen in other standard fuel cans, the handle and moveable nozzle make it easy to switch from varying units.

I love the JustRite 5 gallon cans, both for diesel and for gas. I had an engine get ruined because of plastic from plastic gas can, so I changed. Are they cheap, no, but they are made in the USA of good steel, The price has gone up quite a bit in the past few years, but so has everything else. It is tough, rugged, and has an integral spout that aids in pouring gas or diesel.

I have purchased type 1 and type 2 cans all brands. All have been less than handy to use. Eagle type 1 cannot be filled without removing plastic(broken) funnel. Eagle type 2 are flimsy cans tops so the pull-valve assembly bends the top of the can, plus the spout is so stiff you can barely bend it. THIS JUSTRITE can is my new favorite, and Zoro's price cannot be beaten. The only negative is that it's a bit top-heavy when empty, wants to roll around the back of the truck when empty. I know it's difficult to get excited about a gas can, but this one is excellent.

These Justrite cans are so much easier to pour than other safety pour cans. I mean who wants to spend so much time trying to get the diesel out of the can because the safety feature makes it difficult to keep the spout open and pour at the same time while the fuel just dribbles out (or it seems to anyway). Plus the flexible spout is handy when the diesel tank opening is in an awkward position. And they will last a lifetime, I hope!
