This was a ground breaking TV series, he was called the Jazz Detective, because, usually the show opened with him playing piano with a group of jazz musicians in the background. This was at the height of the Detective TV era, Naked City, Peter Gunn to name a few. What set this apart was John Cassavete's maverick style of Police work, often times ending up with a surprising body count. I would reccomend this to anyone who enjoys their Noir Black and hard boiled, there were not too many likeable characters in this series, including Staccato. If you never saw this and enjoy kooky over the top drama then this is your cup of Joe.
Good value, thank you.
