The non-rigid design of this foot brace device is very handy and it’s an effective home treatment aid for relieving my plantar fasciitis (PF). I only gave it four stars because though putting it on is somewhat intuitive, the instructions could be more detailed. For example, I used the included “arch support pad” as a cushion between the shin-wrap buckle and my shin, making the brace more comfortable to wear longer (sometimes over clothing). I also wear the "elastic foot-strap" separately from the brace assembly for soothing arch compression throughout the day or night as needed. Clarifying the instructions to include these optional uses of the “arch support pad” and the "elastic foot strap" could be very helpful for customers.

This splint is not universal, one size fits all as indicated. It does not provide proper relief because it doesnt stay in place. You have to keep adjusting the top band to try and get resistance at the bottom, which you never get. As u tighten the top, the bottom has no change. The strap is not long enough. I'm a female and wear a 5.5y shoe. The design as pictured on the box is not the design of the item. If the foot strap had a more secure loop like at the top, then it may work as they claim, but the design is flawed amd you wont get any reloef, just a waste money.

I can't say whether or not it "works" to get rid of plantar fasciitis, but it generally does what it's supposed to in supporting the foot in a dorsiflexed position. The quality seems fine, pretty basic. The one thing I'd like to see different is the loop that holds the main strap to the foot loop is neoprene, which causes it to stretch. I'd rather if it were nylon and had less give. The main issue I've had with it, though, is the various ways it engenders discomfort. It caused significant discomfort/pain on my foot for the first few days when I had it on the ball of my foot. I tried lowering it more to the middle of the foot, and that mostly went away, though not completely. I've also struggled with the top strap digging into my shin as it pulls forward from the tension in the strap. I lessened that by reducing the tension in the main strap, but that then allows my foot more movement. Lastly, and I think this is probably unavoidable from the nature of the product, I often wake up toward the end of my sleep and have to take it off just from being sick of having the thing on. It's just overall uncomfortable after so long. I can't be too upset, though, based on the low price I paid. Figured it was worth a shot.Read full review

Easy to assemble and put on but then you have to fiddle to get it right. Keeps foot flexed somewhat but uncomfortable on front of lower leg where the pressure for the edge of Velcro squeezes and if you want to sleep like that it will sore and leave indentation mark. Solution is to use the arch support sponge and use it as a cushion under the Velcro (see the photo.) Material is of poor quality and gives in, stretches and barely holds the foot flex.

...so I bought this one for $10 instead of paying $30 or $40 for the full sock. I have to have it just right or it starts to hurt. I can't get it to stretch my foot, but it does help to somewhat immobilize it. Of course, the expensive ones might be just as bad at a higher price. And maybe this is the wrong bit for my condition. All I can really say is that this one didn't help me much.
