Well researched and easy read. Gives a good insight to the day to day Jeb Stuart.More than a flamboyant cavalry leader, he was a family man who loved his wife and children but also a notorius flirt with the ladies. A serious military strategist but also a leader who surrounded himself with musicians and loved a good laugh. His loyal officers and men idolized him and at times thought him reckless. A cavalry man at his very soul but led Stonewall Jackson's 2nd Corps of Infantry at a critical time as the south had lost what R.E. Lee called his right arm. His defense of Richmond at the end of his career the ambigous order from R E Lee of Stuarts ride around the Northern forces at Gettysburg that earned the unjustified rebuke of Lee. An interesting American.
