Even in a semi professional kitchen this knife functions well. The balance is just behind the blade to my liking and the lightweight is nice. My only complain is that it doesn’t hold an edge as well as I’d like it to. After 5 hours of prep work I would consider it dull. But it is easily sharpened on whetstone.

Great price and a good entry level Japanese knife. Easy to sharpen and holds an edge very well. The handle could be more rounded, but it's no worse than the much more expensive Tojiro DP Gyuto. I like this knife a lot better than the chip prone Tojirp DP but not as much as the excellent Mac Original knives.

This is a great pic it comes very sharp out of the box. It is surprisingly light, I definitely recommend this knife to anyone.
