I rarely write a review This is an excellent product I felt compelled to do so. The Igloo Makes the first tray of ice in about 5-6 minutes depending on small or large cubes (I use small cubes) The machine (using the small cube setting) will be full in about 30 minutes. I love it. As for filling the water reservoir, you can either use a pitcher, or place it by the sink and if you have a extendable faucet, fill it that way. I have no problem filling it with water or spilling a little on the counter top. Get a towel and clean the water up :) It is a great value and I highly recommend it.

If you aren’t already aware, you should know before you buy, that it isn’t made to also store the ice. That would have been a deal breaker for me if I knew that before buying it. I just figured it did, since it also dispenses water, and I liked how it also dispenses the ice, much more sanitary than using a scooper. But why would it not also store the ice? You are basically expected to empty the ice out and store it in your freezer often. And then you also need to drain the water at least once every 24 hours, to keep it sanitary in addition to regularly cleaning it. I’m not sure if it has a filter - I don’t think it does. So consider using filtered or distilled water to prevent build up of mineral deposits, may make it easier to keep clean and possibly extend the life of the machine in the long run. I haven’t used it yet. Because before you buy this, you should also know and be prepared to have a power outlet dedicated to this machine exclusively. Nothing else can be plugged into the outlet but this machine. Extension cords are also not recommended, but if used as a last resort, the instructions give a recommendation for that. I don’t understand how such a simple and straightforward product, could become so unnecessarily complicated. It makes ice, and it dispenses water and ice. But you can’t just plug it in and expect it to work like how your familiar with, when it’s attached to a fridge. Not that it’s difficult, it just complicates using it which is annoying and a little frustrating. It’s about the size of a regular sized Keurig coffee machine. So now I’m shopping for a small side table to set it on, so that I can plug it into its own dedicated outlet and then see how we like it after using it and not dealing with the ice cube trays. Maybe storing the ice elsewhere, won’t be as big of an issue as I think it is. I’ll update again after using it.Read full review

There needs to be a better way to fill the water reservoir. There is just a flimsy plastic door on the SIDE of the unit where you are supposed to somehow pour water without spilling it down the side of the unit and on the floor! Other than that, the unit works well and makes ice quickly. Glad to have it!

It makes ice as required and good for a dry bar. Every time you want to use the ice machine and its days later, you have to switch it on and wait for ice to start coming out. But it works for the application.
