what can you say about the Prism? it's a cheap smartphone and not much more. the device creaks in your hand which indicates a cheap build. it has 160MB of internal memory which holds 4-5 apps. you can move some apps to a memory card but what's the point of making a "smartphone" if you can't really fill it with basic applications? app updates usually require more space as well. basic web browsing is slow and somewhat choppy which is what you get with a 600mhz single core processor. it can't really handle today's flow of information. the camera is one of the worst out there. daytime pics have a tendency to look too bright and most pics in low light look grainy. the best that can be said is texting is relatively easy and you get good battery life out of this thing. take this from someone with experience if you plan on doing or want more than that go with something else.Read full review
The good: T-Mobile Prism has a great feel and look, decent call quality, and solid data speeds. The bad: The Prism's camera quality is poor, the screen has a low resolution, and its processor is sluggish. The bottom line: If you're looking for your first 3G smartphone, the T-Mobile Prism will deliver basic calling, texting, and Web-browsing. Just don't expect blazing speeds or great photos.
I bought this phone so I could have Google at my fingertips. I text alot, it's my preferred and primary form of communication. When it comes to phones... I never need the latest and greatest technology out there, I keep it simple. Major things I dislike about the T Mobile Prism: 1) Touchscreen CANNOT be utilized by fingernail (huge problem for me) 2) Texting is QWERTY only (no T9 input method) 3) Keyboard is very small (even with auto-rotate to horizontal) 4) Phone takes a long time to charge if you let the battery run down 5) Google burns up battery life, more than normal (I asked around)
This phone works well and is a great deal for the low price. It gets all of the latest apps from the google play store and set up was a breeze. It even works with Wal-mart family mobile accounts.
i adore this phone! i had it before and its amazing. I know its android, but it great and easy to use. nice size keyboard. threaded texting. easy calling. wifi. the works!
