If you need a camera for getting your boat hitch close or a trailer this is perfect. Mounting anywhere on the dash or lower you will be fine with everything supplied, however if you want the camera up high as in by the rear view mirror you will need the extended cable from the company. Note - this was installed on a 2011 dodge ram 1500 ext cab (for reference).

Working good so far. Like the dual mode. Needs longer cable for long trucks. Crew cab long wheel base doesn’t have enough wiring to make it to the dash. The camera could be a little larger as well. They don’t offer any customer service apparently. Emailed and looked on line on their website with no other options to purchase a cable. 3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ is about all this is worth.

I am technically incompetent. I tried a wireless unit from Amazon, at a higher price and returned it. This is wired but utube showed me exactly how to install it in one hour. After five weeks, it works perfectly. For a moron, I am very glad I found this unit at a low price and that it really works. Highly recommend if you can get good pricing. It compares more than favorably to much higher priced units.

Haven't tried the hitching mode yet, but just having a backup camera for parking lots is a plus, those short poles are hidden when you have a pickup bed. Had to put a new bumper on my husband's truck $1K, this is much more economical.
