Ruger made the original LCP very thin in order to have it "print" less when you carry it concealed. If you have large hands, however, it is difficult to grip the gun. You can only get two fingers on the stock, and it's not thick enough or sticky enough to hold it well. The gun is only a .380, but it has strong recoil because it is so tiny and light. If you have big hands you may have to regrip the stock gun between shots, because it shifts in your hand due to your poor grip. The Hogue Handall improves the grip, just as it says it will. It makes the stock thicker, and it is tackier in your hand. It's also easy to install. Just take out one of the gun assembly pins, rotate the grip on, and replace the pin with a longer one Hogue provides with the grip. While the grip does make the gun easier and more pleasant to shoot, it also makes it slightly harder to conceal. The thicker grip makes it "print" more. So if your problem is maintaining your grip on a small gun, get the Hogue Handall. If you are more concerned with conceal ability of the gun, then forego the Hogue grip and live with the stock grips. By the way, I found the Hogue grip looked as good or better than the stock grips. Hope this helps.Read full review

Fits fairly well and makes the gun feel more substantial. The only problem I encounter was the pin that came with it was stuck on the thumb side and I wound up tearing out the hole trying to get pin out so I could install it. Evidently the grip had been stored in a warm or hot location for a long time. The pin seemed like it had been glued, or was put in with the finish not completely dry.

I have a new Ruger LCP 380 and love it but.....it is a little small for my hand to grasp and control properly when shooting. I had done the research, read all the reviews and decided to try this Hogue Handall grip sleeve. So glad I did, it is hard to believe but just the little amount that it adds to the pistol grip in the correct places makes it feel like a completely different gun. I soon ordered another LCP, the custom model this time, and also ordered another Hogue Handall for it. Easy to install, fits great, still fits in holsters, just save the two factory parts that it replaces so you can go back to the original some day if needed (although I can't imagine why). Great product, great price, no problems. Burton F., San Antonio, Tx

Nothing is more important for a self defense firearm than the ability to stay on target when firing repeated rounds. The Hogue Handall Grip for the Ruger LCP is the best single thing you can do to achieve this. The pistol will not twist in your hand when fired which means it will come back on target. The 'plus' is that it absorbs some of the snappy recoil .380s are known for. You will want to practice shooting more with this grip which means you will achieve a greater degree of comfort and familiarity with the LCP. Installing the grip requires removal of the pin at top rear, easily done with a small punch or even a small phillips type screwdriver. It also requires removing the plastic piece at the bottom of the magazine well using the same punch or phillips type screwdriver. After that its easy to pull the grip up and onto the handle and re insert that top pin. The whole process takes only a few minutes.Read full review

There is nothing bad about this Hogue grip, it is by far the best one on the market for a Ruger LCP .380, I've tried other name brand ones but, ''Pun'' intended, they didn't stick. They either don't stay on or feel good in hand. The Hogue, on the other hand, has 2-unique ways of staying put, the first being, a pin removed from the Ruger and replacing it with a longer pin, included with the grip, second, on the butt of the Ruger, there is a little plastic floor plate/plug, that needs to be removed, (Please note, the grip cannot be installed without first removing this tiny, square, plastic plug) believe me, I tried ! Once the plug is removed, it's a perfect fit, install the pin and you're all set. The Hogue feels great in hand, a perfect hold, you'll almost not want to put your firearm down, it's exceedingly comfortable to shoot, By the way, I am not a Hogue employee, nor Am I getting any kind of payment for this review. I purchased mine on eBay.Read full review
