Found the path that skunks were using to pass through my yard and tried a standard Havahart with bait but no success. Bought this and trapped 13 skunks last year and didn't use any bait. They see it as a path with no obstruction and decide to go in. Works Great!

We loved our old havahart trap and used it forever until an extra large racoon actually chewed the chain in two and messed up the trap really bad. Just ordered a new one, and like everything else, it doesn't measure up to the quality of the old one. Everyuone is cuttng corners to make more money and the products are inferior. This new trap falls into that catagory in materials and is either too sensative, or the animal runs over it and doesn't set it off. 4 nights of failure and minus about 4 chickens. It's junk compared to the old sturdy one.

Used sunflower seeds for bait, hoping not to a catch skunk. Could not rig the trigger per instructions. I wired the trigger together and works fine. The quality of the trap is real good. Washes very easy.

The Fob Pliers Tool is the best tool for glass running pliers, it is very easy to use and it satisfies my expectation for glass cutting.

first one caught OK, but last two nights they have bent the door ( actually the spring frame piece ) up and escaped. it needs a more secure mechanism to hold the doors shut.

The trap has a definite advantage over single door traps. The first week, I caught 1 feral cat, and 2 raccoons.

This trap has allowed me to catch 6 raccoons over the last year. Last year I borrowed an identical trap and it worked so well, I bought my own. The trap is strong enough to allow mw to take the raccoons 10 miles to release them in a state park, unharmed.

I used this trap to catch woodchucks that were digging up my yard and garden. I set they trap in front of one of the holes and ran into the house to get some cabbage and apples to set as bait. When I returned to the trap to set the bait I was surprised to see the trap was sprung and I had trapped a Woodchuck within 5 min of placing trap in front of hole and without using any bait. I reset trap with bait and Im checking often for my next catch. The handle on top was great to carry to my truck so I could relocate the critter. If you have common sense and know how a trap works and look at a google video and research how to catch what ever animal your trying to catch this really is a high quality trap that will last a long time. If your stupid however just call your local pest control professional it will cost you about $400 for a professional to set a trap for 5 days. I know because I called as asked.
