    Amazing and ingenious sight tool!

I purchased this tool for replacing the sights on a Springfield Xdm. I had heard that these sights were really hard to remove and replace. This billet aluminum tool was so easy to set up, I didn't even clamp anything into a vise. I used little peices of heavy felt gasket material to protect my slide where it touched the tool. Then I gently snugged up all the bolts and this tool amazingly pushed the sights around with ease. They were stuck on good, but this tool didn't even flinch. I love it so much that I'm telling all my gun buddies. I was even watching tv reclining on my couch as I changed my stock sights to tritiums. I don't recommend that for everyone, but this tool is seriously that easy to use. The big bonus... Made in the USA! As a hobby machinist and gun guy, this tool really is an ingenious work of art.

    good for stock sights only

was able to remove or adjust stock rear sight ,, in this case , I removed the stock sight,, and needed to install a new dove tail mount , to install a Burris reflex red dot sight ,, the dove tail I needed to mount was much shorter in height and the tool did not reach the short dove tail ( with drilled and taped holes for new mount ) I had to hold and shim it and do a lot of playing with it to get the new mount dove tail installed ,, Bottom line ,, its good for stock sights ,, to adjust stock sights ,, does this very good ,, but to use this tool to install a different mount in place of stock sight ,, very very poor Hope this helps the next buyer ,, tool is good but has its limitation ,,, if the slide block was longer and fit much closer to the top of the slide ,, and when I say close ,, I mean about .005 to .007 of an inch above top of slide ,, then this would be a great tool Tony D

  • Excellent Front & Rear Sight Tool!

I purchased this after extensive use of the Glock rear sight tool and the craftsmanship is equal, at a much lower price. I put on a front and rear TruGlo night/optic set onto a Springfield XDM; which many say not even to attempt sight changes on the Springfield. It was extremely smooth and took about 10 minutes; most of the time spent on setup. This tool is very heavy duty and allows you a true universal sight tool that can be used on many different firearms brands (instead of making multiple purchases). EXCELLENT price for a very versatile and quality tool. HIGHLY recommended. I used pieces of credit card to place between the metal sight and weapon/sights. It worked very well. I think I'll purchase some green felt paper and double-side tape all the metal areas that make contact.

  • IMPRESSED!!

If you need a sight tool and don't want to spend the $300-$600, then you need to get this tool. I've purchased a couple universal sight tools and this one Is by far the best. THE BEST MONEY I'VE SPENT IN A LONG TIME!! I used it to put Trijicon sights on a friends Kimber 1911. I put some adhesive backed felt where the slide matches up with the tool to prevent marking up the slide, worked very well. I also put some heavy duty electricians tape, 7mil thick, on the pusher to prevent marking up the sights. Both worked well, no marks on the slide or the sights. At first I was a little leery with the hex wrench provided thinking will I have enough leverage? No problem removing the old sights and installing the new sights. Smooth as a hot knife through butter. I am very impressed with this tool. I wish I would've found this tool sooner, I could've saved time & money. Bottom line...need a good sight tool, this is the one. Materials and craftsmanship are excellent, fair better than I expected for the price. Very easy and simple to use.

  • Worth the money

I kept going back and forth before the purchase whether to spend the extra money on this unit, or go with one of the dozens of cheaper ones that look like they started out with a slice of aluminum square tubing. After reading a massive amount of reviews on the cheaper products one thing started to stand out - too many people were having problems with the frames moving and screwing up the installation process. I didn't see any negative reports with the Sight-Tool, and decided the extra money was worth it to protect my firearm from damage. After using the tool to install two sets of sights, I'm very happy I went with this. Another thing that pushed me this way was one of the installations was a Kahr P380, and I was worried that the small slide would add to the difficulty in keeping things solid. The Sight-Tool handled the Kahr easily, and the Glock was no problem either. Anyway, I used a cut up credit card as they suggested to protect the finish, and the slide is really locked into place. There is basically no slop in the adjustment process either, and I was able to move the sights slightly to get them centered. Only improvement would be a second aluminum block so the sight could be moved either way without taking the slide back out and swapping the block around. Other than having to swap the block to change directions, the tool works perfectly. Then again, it takes just a few seconds to slide the aluminum rod out and turn the block around, so really not that big of thing.

  • The Search Is Over...

After buying two sight pushers on eBay and then having one custom built I ran into problems with all of them. The two from eBay were very low quality and simply broke with use and were barely usable to start with. The one I had custom made was of great quality but engineered similar to the others and the slide would tilt and move. This one I just bought here is both of good quality and engineered well. It is very easy to use, the slide stays but, it does not mar the cerakote and takes little effort to remove AND install sights. After giving up on pushers and only using brass drifts for a long time now, I am so glad I took a chance on this pusher, I cannot imagine not owning it now. I highly recommend it if you are on the fence.

  • Sturdy, Easy, Innovative

Stubborn sights not really an issue for this tool. I hit the sights with penetrating oil first. I've had the tool for a week and have done two complete sight sets so far. Can move front or back sights, Pusher block can be flipped around for flat side or beveled. Comes with an allen wrench. I suggest using pieces of an old credit card as a shim so the lock down screws don't damage your finish of your firearm. And a layer of electrical tape on top of your slide while moving the sights. Will prevent any scratches. If you're a do it yourselfer, this is the sight tool for you. $80? No brainer. My local gunsmith charges $50 to either move or install sights. Already paid for itself. Used on a M&P Shield and an FNS.

  • It Works

Wish I bought this years ago. So far works on glocks, M&ps, and Fns. Great value, considering most gunsmiths charge $50 just to put one set of sights on. Just make sure everything is squared up and centered in the tool. very quality tool, some cheapo versions on ebay have coarse threads which makes it harder to center sights. This thing is great alot of other quality tools can be $200 to $300 and up. If you need a universal sight tool just buy this.

  • The Handgun Sight Pusher Tool is the real deal

This sight tool is about a third of the price of some sight tools, but don't let the price fool you - it is a solid, quality item. I had debated the value of getting a sight tool, but at $79 it is well worth the price and will last for many years because it is well made and doesn't have as many parts to mess up as some competing tools. If you use this a couple of times, you'll more than make up what a LGS would charge you to install or just adjust your pistol sights. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

  • Built to last a life time.

I think this company has covered all the bases with this product. The quality is above par for the price I paid. I used this tool to change the sights on my Sig 220, and on my H&K 45C and it worked perfectly. I did let oil set on the old sights overnight. I'm not sure that it's necessary, however the directions suggested it. The sights pushed off easily, and the new taller sights installed just as easily. I really recommend this tool for your armorers tool box.
