Sure it's one generation old, but the device works amazingly well. Everything about it is great except well, the camera. The Camera is decent actually but you won't be getting any noise-less photos or vibrant images like the S6 or S7. I would recommend upgrading your charger to a Quick Charge 2.0 as it works very well. My phone doesn't indicate when it is in Quick Charge, but you will certainly notice the heightened charge speed. Battery life is also decent, but avoid using the phone when it gets very warm, or else the battery drains much quicker. Overall I love the HTC company, I wish them the best in future developments as well. Keep it up Cher Wang.

Nice phone, few more dings and scuffs than I expected. The speakers have a nice stereo sound, though not loud enough for me. The battery life is okay if you are indoors and can turn the brightness down. If have to turn it up halfway or above, grab a charger. Also if you use the hot spot, grab a charger. It also gets very hot if you charge it while you use it. I have a phone update that won't update also. Other than that, good phone.

It's a great phone. It's got great features. It's very fast. It's also very easy to use. The only problem is that it gets VERY hot when running apps such as Google Maps, Waze, HTC updater, etc. The back of the phone gets so hot that it's almost hard to hold in your hand. That's a huge concern, but I'm not sure if they're all like this, or if it's only this one. If you encounter the same problem, definitely email HTC directly as I have. They need to fix this problem.
This is my 3rd HTC phone (the others just were used to they're full capacity). I've been using this current M9 for a few months now, and it does not disappoint. I will NEVER buy a different phone brand again. It was already set-up in my country's correct language and fully charged, with a screen protector on. HTC really understands uniqueness - the phone is fully customize-able even down to the font. It's very intuitive to use and feels great in your hand. The quality of the photos are unbelievable! This was one of my main reasons for buying it. I also purchased an Otter Box case separately for it. Overall, if you're considering switching brands, give HTC a serious look.

So I received my new HTC One m9 and was really happy to start of with. But after a day or two I started having problems. Lines keep appearing across the bottom half of the screen when I video record and the camera app is generally glitchy. Also I have yet to start using it with a sim card but my battery doesn't even last a day with no mobile data being used. It is for the same reason I haven't be able to use the blinkfeed for fear of the battery being drained to quickly. The apps need to be minimized, having 3+ email apps as well as news, weather and internet apps is a waste and very unnecessary. There are lot of customizing options which are great. But overall not impressed.
