Bought with 350 pages used. Chosen to replace a 5520 that died because this was an upgrade and because it used the same ink cartridges. Seems to work as good or better than the lower model. This has Fax capability, 2 sided printing, and an easy to use touch screen interface.

This is my 3rd HP 6520. It is now obsolute. I love it when it works, but this model has feed problems. I've always purchased HP printers. Their printing is awesome, but the 1st one I had of this mode (before warranty was up) had paper jamming up. It was replaced by warranty and after a few months had the same problem on the 2nd one. Since printing is great and I didn't want to reconfigure my printing formats, decided to get my 3rd one. Had a hint of paper jam already on this one. I used to print 2 sided to save paper, but have decided that may increase the problem even though it is set up for that. Since not printing 2 sided, it may have alliviated the problem somewhat.

This printer replaced a 6-color all-in-one HP unit that died on me after about 3 years of normal use. I bought it based on published ratings about it's high quality photo-printing capabilities. (I have a laser printer for most of my black and white/text printing.) All in all, I've been satisfied with it so far; although, I haven't had the need for much photo printing yet. I've used the copier feature--in both black and white and color--and that is very good; actually I get better results than from my all-in-one laser printer! I will say that the few photos I have printed don't impress me as "better" than the output from the printer I replaced, but the ink for this one is less expensive (plus I only need to buy 4 colors instead of 6.) To date, I'm quite satisfied even though I haven't really used all the features of it. The best thing of all though, was the price I paid for it. It's a very good value.Read full review
I went to the trouble of locating this 6520 printer because it had worked for me before for what I needed. With this one via eBay, I immediately had problems with the color printing. I ran the suggested tests and finally got the dreaded "there's something wrong with the printing system" window. The cartridge carriage locked up. One of the suggested checks was to remove the ink cartridges, and try running the printer again. I spent so much time online reading others suggestions and trying to get info from HP - I went out and got a printer via Costco because I'm quarantined a simple return if there is an issue.

I gave it only four stars as I had a hard time getting it set up,I had to call HP three times, I could get it to work then when I shut down I would have to do it all over again. HP finally got it working just the way it should and it is great,I can even print from my phone, you can even send it a message as it has it's own address, all in all I like it. One more thing, HP didn't want carry on the guarantee on it until I sent them a copy of the sales receipt, I believe that the printer is new but is a older model.
