This is a non-working item that I bought for parts to repair my own printer. The price was a little high for my use but I figured it probably was much higher than the cost to repair my unit if I could find someone to do it. When I opened the box the front door of the printer was open and there was styro popcorn everywhere. The door should have taped closed for shipping. Overall the packing could have been better. When I looked inside the unit I discovered that the printer had its toner cartridges included (2 of them were OEM). Suddenly the purchase was a great value. I removed the one small plastic piece I needed from this printer and repaired mine. Mission accomplished. I'm now using the included cartridges in my printer and my prints look great.

I bought this printer for the price. I was looking for a color laser printer for my small business and this fit the position. I do have to keep it unplugged till I need it so the warm up time is about 2 minutes. After that it is a printing monster. Graphics are a bit on the low end, photos are better on a high end printer. They lacked definition in dark pictures. But an adjustment in the driver settings, (and alot of paper) found that it will print better than factory settings. Go to printer/fax(xp) select this printer properties. look for the color drivers. Select a few from the list that work add them to the list and run in automatic. It WILL pick the best driver. So with a little tweaking this is a good office color printer. With acceptiable picture abilities.
If you are running windows 7, this is NOT the printer for you. Its highest level of compatibility is Windows Vista. Driver download/install from HP is also especially difficult as it does not have the standard installation steps. Instead, when you hit "Run" on the ".exe" file it merely unzips it, and then you have to do a manual install through your control panel and use the have disk option. You then have to search for a file with an ".inf" extension to install. I had to call HP Customer support 3 times (and only the last person agreed to walk me through the install without charging me $39.00) and after being on the phone for almost an hour, the printer still wouldn't communicated with my computer properly. It also weighs a metric ton.
Same printer I already had and liked the 1st one
