Easy to use.
This crimper does the connector crimp and insulation crimp in separate operations. So it's a little easier to use for me than those that do both at the same time. That also allows for more flexibility in the choice of wire if the insulation is of difference diameter. But it does take more operator judgment to decide how far to go with the crimp. I had excellent results on the connector crimp and decent results on the insulation. The wire I used may have been a little large at the insulation for the connector I was using. My only real complaint is the catch that is used to lock the pliers closed when in storage. It was in the way on the very first crimp I made. I did not feel it because of the pressure required for the crimp and I broke it. The tool still functions normally but it just takes up a little more room now in the tool box. I bought it with high hopes, but unfortunately it did not bring the quality I expected. The terminal often twists during crimping, the condutor crimp (wire barrel) does not bend symmetrically. The protrusions are too wide and sharp when fitting the dies, in these corners. My opinion based on comparison with the results of another (cheaper, Japanese) tool and a professional tool. The O-shaped dies work well, the terminal fits easily into the plastic housing. A wide range of dies is useful.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent tool for uninsulated Terminals
Prior to receiving this I had been using another non ratchet leveraged tool similar to the Hozan in function This tool is far better allows for a wide range of wire crimps and does an excellent job on both the wire (conductor) crimping and the insulation crimp. Produces a very strong, reliable crimp The handles are very soft and comfortable to use too. I prefer the non ratchet design as it leaves me in control of the amount of force to apply My only gripe is I wish the jaws opened a little wider as it can sometimes be a bit awkward to get the terminal into position in the jaws Overall I am very impressed with the quality, you can get cheaper sure, but this tool does a professional jobVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
