Save your money and get a good harmonica!! I bought this piece of junk as I can't play my flugelhorn any more, so I thought I'd learn to play the harmonica. I read up on them a little bit and decided to buy an inexpensive harmonica to learn the "ropes" before investing in a really good one. Big mistake--this one can't play all the notes, particularly the ones at the low and high ranges. Very difficult to get any sound out of some of the blowholes, etc, etc.

I hadn't heard the Hohner Stars and Stripes harp, so I tried it. To be blunt,I was very disappointed. I apparently didn't read enough. It is not a German Hohner, it is the Chinese version. If you're a harpist you know what I mean. For the money it's ok. But if you are a musician, don't waste your money. If you want a nice harp with a good sound for a very reasonable price, get the Hohner Blue Midnight. I fell in love with it and now I have 3 in different keys. Good luck.

The box is nice. No paperwork at all, and for a beginner historically presented item that was a disappointment. Then when playing it the lower notes were very hard to get air in and out to get tge required notes. Unfortunately, as an adult I would only recommend for childs play.

It looks so expensive and polished! It sounds like a charm and is easy to play without straining your breath.
