Yes was a project terror to assemble. But I am an accordion specialist tuning and assembling all kinds of accordions.Assembling this antenna was simple compared to my line of work. All it takes is some down ground good ole home style patience. All the parts were available. Got me a cup of hot coffee and got to it and soon enough, all done. Now that I have set it up, its absolutely great! The picture looks awesome. Remote works great. I have it set up right outside my back porch. It's not even on my roof. I recommend this product to family and friends that have patience and good common sense lol. Have fun all,,, Cheers!

I was not expecting the moon considering cost. After i assembled which instructions need some work and better photos. It looked ok but it seemed very "loose" on the mast. I connected it and hooked to the tv and got nothing. I tried connecting different ways but nothing. By accident i connected a coaxial cable and created an antenna and the TV received a signal. Nothing left to lose i tore the antenna apart completely. I found somehow it was either put together wrong or shipping impacted it because the top rotor mount which is the motor had busted the mounts. This also caused the connection wires to the circuit board to be pulled off their solder joints. I remounted the motor and soldered the wires back and it works well. So definitely mixed feeling on the unit. Giving the supplier credit i did not request a return.Read full review

Assembly is a nightmare and I can put together engines, boats and computers systems. It's low quality hard to assemble flimsy junk. My $14 Y shaped 1 foot tall does more than this.

Living on fairly flat land in Lexington N.C. I was able to shut off and return all the equipment to the local cable operator and save myself 100.00 a month. After setting the unit up on a pole(top fence rail for chain link fence) 25 ft-30 ft I fine tuned it, in the direction of our local stations. In this direction I get 45 TV channels two of which have the same programming. I bought this 180 mile antenna in the direction I have it set I pick up channel 12 in charlotte 70 miles away, Channel 8 20 miles away and Winston- Salem 40 miles away. Chapel Hill 100 miles away. Rotate the antenna to the opposite direction you will pick up TV stations in South Carolina Columbia 150 miles away. Plus more and different channels and some channels you got in the other direction. I was paying 100 a month for local cable and was getting only 40 channels for 100 dollars CBS, ABC, NBC all the major networks, Cartoons, movies, the works . Money well spent saved 1200.00 a year !Read full review

I went from 4 channels with rabbit ears to 24 channels with this antenna.. GOODBYE CABLE COMPANY! Would have been 5 stars, but assembly took awhile. Worth the slight trouble.
