A class in MBSR was offered locally, but the instructor said odd things-like don't listen to Kabat Zinn, listen to me. I found the instructor less than inspiring, so checked out Kabat Zinn online and started doing his youtube body scan. Never get tired of it, so got these CDs, which are classics. Each are 45 minutes, but that sort of time is a good grounding for a lifetime practice. And you can skip intros if you wish. Dropped the local class-for which I had paid $320. Best decision I ever made. All the class content was online at UMass, so I just take my homework from that.

Lets face it: ADHD caused by the endless stream of information stimuli is a fact of life. Most professional adults develop it to a certain degree. All these e-mails, SMSs, phone calls, news and TV make your attention span shorter than one of a dog. Thoughts become inattentive and mindless as brain tries to protect itself from stimuli overload. This is where meditation comes to help. Do it once a day for eight weeks as author recommends and you most certainly will be able to sustain your focus for longer periods of time. I tried different meditation discs and found that Jon Kabat-Zinn works best for me. In my opinion a bit of ambient music in the background would be nice but I also understand that music takes away a degree of concentration on your body sensations.
