Third one in five years, great warranty , still using the same 40 volt battery, for chainsaw and 3 other tools. These saws cut well, very quiet, lightweight. After many hours of use , have had two strip the chain gear, both times the bar and chain was in severe bind, and I was pulling them out, to free them, but damage was done. Repairs and replacement was free. Have cut up limbs after storms for 3 hours , on two occasions, never discharged the battery completely. Charges fast. Walmart carries this product now, so if you want local support , it’s close to home.

This chainsaw is good for small projects. It does not feel like the same power as a gas chainsaw, but it works. I don't know that I would use this to cut a tree down, but I had some stubborn roots sticking out from the ground that were previously cut down and I wanted to get rid of them which this did just fine. It is annoying to hold down the power button. My hand was aching by then end, but it worked for what I needed it for.

Light, powerful for small jobs, ideal for tree pruning and other projects. I have blower, pole saw, hedge trimer, all by GreenWorks, all 40V. Have two batteries, which is more than enough. Had to replace the blower after three seasons, but the tool alone was inexpensive. Highly recommended without hesitation: depandable, light weight, easy to handle.

I've always hated gas powered chainsaws in the past. As they were ALWAYS hard to start, if you don't use it everyday. Battery powered tools never have that problem. They are so god, I purchased multiple yard tools (hedger, trimmer and lawn mower). While this saw may not have the shear power of a gas model, it did well for my purposes (cutting down small trees and bushes). This saw takes ease of ownership much further than others I have used. As adjusting the tightness of the chain itself, is a breeze. No covers to take off, no tools needed. Just a simple turn of a knob on the saw itself and the chain is adjusted in two seconds. Best chainsaw for household purposes I've ever owned.

I cut a 12 inch branch off my cherry tree and bucked it into @6 inch chunks and there was still 50% battery life left. I cut an ash stump off at 24 inches off the ground and still 75% batt life left. Not as fast as a gas powered but it gets the job done and it’s quieter and less messy...I love it.
