This album was first published in 1974 on vinyl and has since then "retired". It took many years of searching but I finally found it on CD! It was produced by Billy Sherrill*, Ron Bledsoe**, David Allen Coe, Ron Bledsoe, and Waylon Jennings***, and David Allen Coe and Ron Bledsoe#. Although David Allen Coe sings songs mainly from the country/western genre: **"Longhaired Redneck", **"You Never Even Called Me by My Name", ***"Willie, Waylon and Me", and **"A Sad County Song", he also sings *"Divers Do it Deeper", a song that falls more into the Margaritaville genre. This CD also includes some love songs that will melt your heart: **"Would You Be My Lady", #"Lately I've Been Thinking Too Much Lately", **"Would You Lay With Me (in a Field of Stone)", **"Just to Prove My Love to You", and **"Face to Face". I bought this album because my vinyl album wore out in the early 80s. I then purchased the cassette and wore it out in about 5 years. I've been looking for the CD ever since only to learn that it was "retired." I am sooo jazzed that I found a used copy on CD. So, if you want it, you'd better get to hunting!Read full review
