Truly great food that's good for you!
A joy to read and a joy to "eat"!!! This author is one of the original Silver Palate owners and really does know how to cook. Why don't I see her on the food network :-(

Indispensable cookbook!
This hardback was a replacement for a paperback version I owned for 12 years. I consider this cookbook indispensable-for me, it's up there with Joy of Cooking. Very versatile and varied recipes-in short, excellent! The recipe for Rice Pudding is worth it alone :)
