This devotional book was written in language much like Oswald Chambers. The original copyright date was 1937 (this one is 1994)and uses scripture from the King James version. As stated, this is thought provoking and encourages you to "put into practice" biblical truths as well as being a book for those wanting a deeper walk with the Lord. One drawback is the dates are not printed on each page in this version like the original, but you can number them yourself starting with page 9 as January 1st. I don't agree with a couple of the devotions, but the benefits of the other 362 devotions far outweigh those few. I highly recommend it and have found and purchased several copies to share with family and friends!
Many wonder how something written so long ago, would be relevant today. The topical study is rich in laying out our response to God's goodness. It doesn't sugarcoat it engages the reader on a heart level, (Mind, Emotions, Will)and challenges us to step into God's grace without flinching.
