Product not as show in imagery, but that was expected given the contradictory images show. The dynamo itself actually seems well built, all metal and the head of the dynamo came with a rubber cover. Unfortunately the cover was poorly molded and causes loud vibration if kept on while in use. Once properly installed on the bike it runs nice and quietly, took a few rides before I got it just right. If its slightly misaligned it makes a lot of noise and creates a lot of drag. the output of the module is as advertised but the amperage is much lower. Commuting at 12-14mph produced 5.3v at about 0.6 amps. This is not enough to start charging my phone, but my workaround for this problem is using it to charge a power bank, which I use to charge my phone later in the day. To directly change my phone (iPhone 5) I would need to be riding ~18mph, which is just not realistic. The power produced by this system is more than enough to power a headlight though, which was the whole point of getting it anyway.Read full review

Works great as advertised! Keeps my phone or gps charged as advertised. I use this unit on a motorized bicycle and the higher speeds seem to have no negative affect on it. Works great!

I ordered this by mistake thinking it was a 5v USB. So I found on ebay a convertor that's, 12v to 5v (2x) USB Ports. I also ordered on ebay a LED display light, which I connected to the black wire, (letting me know the 5v USB's are getting power).. And got camo duct tape to wrap it together. I also use the generator to recharge device's I carry of the trunk of my trike. But I got a handle bar bag to hold devices to charge. I've used these and I'm happy with the results. And look forward to more modding with these. I ordered 2 for my front wheel.
