I have owned a Garmin 1450LMT for many years and after much thought, I decided it was time to step up to a new one. I decided on the 2597LMT. Little did I know that the screen was manufactured by a different comany than the 1450LMT. The graphics are very easy to see in the sunlight on the 1450LMT. On the 2597LMT, when any sun hit the screen while driving, it went blank. In other words, you couldn't see a thing. I called Garmin and they said they went to the different screen company and that was the reason the colors were pastel instead of solid. They actually told me to put it in night mode for the day and day mode of the night so I could see it better. I wouldn't recommend this new Garmin to anyone and it's too bad because they always made a great GPS. NOT ANYMORE! I would hope they get the message and change the newer ones because the 1450LMT will be my last Garmin if they don't make any changes to their screens.Read full review

Change from TomTom. Once differences were understood, easy to use. Got to Arizona from Illinois accurately and in timely manner. Good display and easy to understand turn by turn directions.
