Love this watch
There are more features to this watch than I will ever use (although I'll try), but for indoor and outdoor running and cycling and indoor swimming (haven't been outdoors yet), hiking, and navigating it works wonderfully. The more I use it the more I love it. I'm discovering new things about it all the time. If there was one negative, it would be the size. The weight doesn't seem to be a factor but it appears very large on my wrist. Of course, this is just a personal preference and does not diminish its value in any way.

Pretty good product, battery life and so on but...
Misses one of the key features from the Fenix 2 (I learned only after the purchase) - ability to load the maps on the device. This feature is key for outdoor/hiking/biking activities and long trips that this piece of engineering is designed for. One would not even think that Garmin can REMOVE such a vital feature from its Fenix product line. After 2 months I see signs of wear (silver color instead of black) so the "anodization" has some issues. I really like it even though there are some opens related to feature inversion or quality. If you don't need it - go for it.

Tough and smart at the same time
The watch is perfect! It deserves every penny, really. It has all the required functions for both outdoor and tech lovers. Watch faces, large color screen, graphics, ABC and GPS functions are great. Software is reliable and bluetooth notifications works perfect with my iPhone 6.

Great watch
I love this watch! It has a ton of features and keeps track of a lot of running/fitness data. I primarily use the watch for running, but have enjoyed the fitness tracker and hope to use some of the hiking features, or the ability to pre-load a map. I enjoy the VO2 Max estimate and race predictor. I have found that it locates satellites more quickly than my Forerunner 220. I like the large face and don't feel like the watch is too heavy or bulky, but those upgrading from the Forerunner 220/230 or the 620/630 will definitely notice a difference in size and weight. It also has a much bigger profile. I elected not to get a wrist HR version because I already have a chest strap and the chest strap is more reliable. I purchased a refurbished model to save money and I have been very happy so far!

Great watch with lots of features. It tracks runs, walks, swimming, hiking, and many others. Connect the watch to your computer and you can see your stats and courses on Garmin Connect. Note that this version does not have a built in HR monitor.

Exactly what I expected and a great price
The device arrived on time and in excellent condition. It was a super bonus to have received my Fenix 3 for $180 less than all the retailers around me. Even further bonus to not have to pay shipping or tax so I probably saved closer to $250! Yes Please

Check online if your certified refurbished Fenix 3 is covered by warranty
I bought 2 from an Ebay seller and went to the Garmin website to check if its under warranty. They were not. This is the Garmin site: my (dot) garmin (dot) com (slash) rma (slash) en-US (slash) repair (slash) repairLanding# Just key in the product serial number found at the back of your watch. Northwest Outdoors said Garmin will honor the warranty as long as you show them the sales invoice even if it shows online that its not under warranty. That won't work for me because I plan to give them as gifts.

Great for triathlete
Replaced my fenix 2 with this and it works great for run/bike/swim but now I am able to have something I can wear all the time for activity tracking. I use it to log steps, floors, and even sleep which combines with my fitness pal calorie tracking to know exactly where I am at on a daily basis.

Excellent Watch
The Fenix series is the best of the best when it comes to fitness watches. I purchased one about a year ago, then returned it for no good reason, went through the other models, and here I am again. The only other watches in this class, are the new Fenix models.
