It is a great price, but needs better instructions. One review said they couldn't get it to run. If you have that same problem, with it plugged directly into a 110v outlet, hook the air switch button to the bottom of the disposal, press it one or two times, with the power on, and it will work. The air switch pushes a switch, that is either always on or always off. You need it so that air switch is in the "always on' position. Then it will work like a normal disposal. Hope this helps someone.

This disposal has an additional feature that I have never seen before. There is an air switch that must be pushed when you want to turn the unit on and then must be pushed again when you turn it off. It is some kind of a safety feature but don't fully understand how it works or why it is needed. It requires a hole to be drilled into your counter top which I don't want to do.

Instructions were extremely poor and there were unexpected installation problems. The heads on the screws for the mounting collar were too large, making it impossible to attach the disposall to the drain assembly. Ended up purchasing a different mounting assembly... Though I suppose you could grind the screw heads or perhaps find screws with smaller heads... The time trouble shooting, and added costs made installation frustrating. You will have to drill out (usually this is a knockout) the dishwasher drain port. It seems to be a decent disposall ,very quiet, but not intended for american style plumbing.

Powerful Garbage disposal and easy to fit. Love the anti shock air button starter.

If you want a hard wired unit, don't get this one and try to convert (nightmare). Broke the dishwasher nipple trying to knock out the hole plug (done this many times). Turns out, there is no plug, just a dead nipple. Cheaply made, and parts missing. Go to the store and get a plug and play, and save yourself the learning experience.
