It's the Telecaster Fender should build. Leo would have been pleased. Comfortable neck, good weight, bridge pickup screams. Metallic Turquoise color is unique and high quality. String through bridge with six individual BRASS saddles. Guitar has great sustain. My only complaint is the humbucker. Kinda flat sounding. Not a lot of character. Not splitable but that doesn't bother me. Did I mention it has six individual BRASS saddles?!

I've played for 25+ years, owned a number of guitars and customized a few of them. I REALLY wanted to like the pickups in this guitar. I tried to work with them, tweaked the settings, etc. but I just couldn't get a tone I was satisfied with. Granted, I paid 299 for this and I got what I paid. I went into this expecting to have to make upgrades. So I took out the pickups, the control panel and the replaced the bridge. I left the tuners and the nut intact (which I'll replace a later time with a bone nut). The body is very well made and the neck feels really good (although I did give the back of it 4 layers of tung oil - feels much better now). I replaced the pickups with a Seth Lover neck and Dimarzio Velvet T on the bridge. I got a customized stacked pots control plate. These changes, along with the Babicz FCH Z Series Tele Bridge (I didn't really need to change this but the sustain now is significant), made a world of difference. This guitar is now ready to be utilized for most any situation. It sounds simply fantastic. I give the basswood a lot of credit for the tone alongside the pickup changes. Some might be happy with the stock guitar. I went in knowing I'd spend about $225-250 more to bring it to a very high level. For that price, IMO, it holds up to guitars that I could've easily paid $1k-2500. easily. IMO, don't expect for Tone of God to immediately come flying out of the stock guitar. Invest a little more and you'll be VERY, VERY pleased. Read full review

I paid $350 and it plays great out of the box. I'm going to take her to my Luthier and have a custom nut installed and pay for an exquisite set up and that's it... Guitar is an outstanding value...looks great...plays great...its light...just love it!

I'll start right out with the cons of the review... I am not much on a Humbucker pickup so I can't very well talk it up, but that's not why I bought the Guitar, at all.... The Bridge Pickup and entire G&L package has plenty of Tele Spank and is truly, a GREAT-SOUNDING GUITAR! .....I play many different guitars including a Telecaster and a PRS, but this one has rapidly become my favorite guitar for country and Rock-a-Billy style music.. Leo would have been proud of this one! With the Pickup switch in the middle position, you can get some tasty mellow tones though.....I am a guitar collector, a Musician of 45 years and have also done studio work..... While playing the G&L this afternoon, I still couldn't believe How great this guitar is and what a deal I got on it.....Kind of like finding a big roll of money. You don't spend it right away, you just stare it it for about a week! .....I guess in conclusion,,,, The quality is all there, the tones are amazing and I can't argue with the reasonable price, I almost feel guilty buying this one........When the UPS Guy brought it to the house, that night my wife slept out on the sofa... Not because she was mad, just wasn't enough room in bed for me, her and my new G&L!....... ...........Thanks for the rare opportunity to own this fine guitar!Read full review

Bought and then knew why it's a limited edition. They pulled the G&l pickups. Put cheap electronics in. I ended up putting $300 into it. Do the math. Indonesian made, good neck, not great. Good tuners, terrible pickups. Bassy, buzzy Humbucker in neck. Bridge pickup doesn't sound right. If you follow what others do, you might like it. It's pretty. I thought at first I got a heck of a deal. Maybe you will too.
