Great brand, great part, and great price. I knew it would work on my 1968 Shelby. I carefully ground the edge that faces the tail-light panel (in the installed position). This is required in order to twist the unit on. And it fit under my flip-off / pop-off gas cap after I removed the OEM spring and seal. I then installed a small spring to preserve the pop-off action. This set-up is safer than the OEM arrangement and it's what the new reproduction units offer. In a rear-end or roll over accident, this twist on cap stays on. The OEM arrangement would pop open and create a possible gasoline spill and fire. I like the anodized finish, too. So I cleaned it and hit it with clear engine paint. Safety matters and this modification allows the flip off cap to close; preserving the OEM appearance. ThanksRead full review

The gas cap is an exact match to the original and fits like a glove. The vehicle to which I fitted it is 60 years old. And yet the item is an exact match for the original 60 year old gas cap it replaced. Although it was located in the USA and I am in Australia it was worth the expenditure of the additional cost to ensure I got what I wanted.

I worked a long time trying make the cap screw on but it never fit. It does not appear to be even close to fitting. It appears to be more like a radiator cap than a gas cap. I would not recommend this part.

I installed it on my garden tractor. This must be one of the stupid caps that is demanded to save the earth. As the tank heats up the pressure is not released and the gas pressurizes and the tank swells up. It does fit OK.

Good value - always order a new gas cap with new tank- should come together at one price.
