I bought this hood for the 12-32mm kit lens for my Panasonic GX85 The quality is very good and it fits and threads on easily and precisely. It does a good job of protecting the front lens element from getting damaged so I can carry the camera around without the lens cap mounted. That's a good thing because fitting the stock lens cap is impossible with the hood attached. The cap that comes with the hood is easy to install but rather pointless because the slots in the hood let dust in. When I'm not using the camera I remove the hood and install the stock lens cap I haven't checked to see how effective the hood is at shading the lens. It does vignette a bit between 12 and 14mm focal lengths

This is not the best quality, but for the price it's worth a try. I finally got to fit on my lens please follow the markings on the hood, and look for the white dot on the lens. Line the hood dot with lens dot advance clockwise and a little pressure will lock it into place.

When the sun or light is 90 degrees or less off the lens axis the Olympus 35 SP Rangefinder is known for lens flare. Lens flare will greatly reduce image contrast. Sometimes less contrast and a bit of flare is the look someone is looking for, but most often not; thus the reason for this lens hood. It screws on the lens perfect, does not block the viewfinder nor rangefinder. When I need a filter I remove this hood, screw on the filter then screw the lens hood on the filter. This lens hood is well worth the cost, very glad I have it.

I bought my 90mm lens used in a Copenhagen photo store in 1984, and in the following 32 years, it spent at least 15 in a drawer - and now, its original 11251 rubber Leica shade shows signs of fatigue. Those who know this lens appreciate it is subject to flare, and the factory shade is a bit short for good flare reduction. I always dread buying inexpensive aftermarket products for Leica lenses because the threads are often not well cut, and the product can bind. This shade threads effortlessly onto my 90mm, and looks almost as finished as a Leica product. I recommend it.

Haven’t tested it into the sun but it fits well and is nice quality if you don’t mind the satellite dish look. I’m using it on a DJI X5 camera and it’s also serving as a balancing ring. It’s a touch heavy to be perfectly balanced but is much better than no ring at all. Good on Osmo, might catch a lot of wind on an Inspire.
