I love the book. It had a section that I desparately needed to read. I am 44 years old and never was in the kitchen. My mom passed away in September and I am finding more time to be in the kitchen and beginning to enjoy it. Once all the messes are cleaned up and the house back in order I am going to concentrate on cooking and baking. This book offers a section telling what is needed to make a kitchen complete and that I needed. SO I THANK YOU. Never thought when buying it that it would have that. It will take me a while to get my kitchen complete but I will do that over the next few months. My goal is to be ready to bake and cook by Easter. I do what I have to now but I WILL be in full swing by then. THANKS AGAIN. Little by little I will also build my cookbook library up and be able to enjoy reading and putting my expectations into action.Read full review

This is by far the most unique Gooseberry Patch cookbook I own, and I own 24 at last count! It has wonderful tips and techniques to use in the garden. Very easy to follow if your not a seasoned gardener! It has many recipes that you use ingredients straight from your garden.
This book gives great tips for the gardener. It is also a cookbook highlighting the herbs and other "bounty" from you backyard garden. The book is filled with ideas for crafts and gifts. One of Gooseberry patch's best books in my opinion.
I liked the story, the recipes, the garden ideas, just everything. I purchased this book as a gift.
